As a former art therapist, I love the directness and innocence of children's art, and aim to express myself in the same spirit of spontanious creativity. My paintings are expressions of the moment, expanding into forms and ideas as my vision unfolds.
Opening my mind to all possibilities, different images emerge, take shape and suggest outlines and definition. Dreams, my view of the world, spiritual experiences and intuitive feelings all seem to find their own place into my pieces. I love the process and the surprise of letting the paintings evolve organically.

Opening my mind to all possibilities, different images emerge, take shape and suggest outlines and definition. Since illness forced me to give up easel and paint, my digital painting tools provide a wide array of brushes, colors and layers. This allows me to create truly original art, which is then printed on canvas. I am happy and amazed by this new artform. By constantly exprimenting with new tools and painting programs, I hope to grow and expand my techniques and my artistic vision.
All of my work is registered and trademarked with my Sparks of Joy TM parent company.
Born and raised in Germany, I traveled the world, lived with my husband Bob in many different places and have now landed in Chicago. Here I reconnected with my best friend in life - my sister Tracy, who is an exceptional photographer. Together we have grown and learned to be artists who actually show and sell our art. None of this would be possible without my husband Bob, who does all the art fair setup, computer work and fixing the things we artists need to follow our muse.
Feel free to contact me and give me feedback. Thanks so much for looking at my work!
